Roger Johnson started with Heart of America in 2009 starting at the Machine Shed in Urbandale, Iowa before coming to Johnny’s in Peoria.

Before starting with Heart of America Roger owned a restaurant in Winterset Iowa called “Cooking from the Heart”. He also worked for Chili’s for 8 years and Red Robin.

Roger’s love of food stems back from when he was young and went to his grandparent’s house every Sunday.  The Italians really know how to put the food on the table for the Sunday family get together.

Roger is a car buff and his “work in progress” is a 1964 Chevy Nova SS. He was born in Alaska grew up in upstate New York, but he graduated high school in Wurzberg, Germany. He has an Associates in Business Administration from Blair Junior College. Roger has been married for twenty years and has two beautiful daughters (young ladies).
